ProtectPLC is a cloud-based backup and version control platform for industrial PLC programs. Think of it as version control purpose-built for automation engineers.

Create Your Account

Sign up

Visit /signup and enter your name, email, company name, and a password. Choose whether you are a manufacturer/end user or a system integrator.

Verify your email

Check your inbox for a verification email and confirm your address.

Log in

Go to /login and sign in with your credentials. You will be taken through the onboarding wizard on first login.
ProtectPLC offers a free tier with 1 device and up to 5 backups so you can evaluate the platform at no cost.

After your first login, the onboarding wizard guides you through the essential setup steps:

Create your first site

A site represents a physical location such as a plant, building, or production line.

Add a device

Register a PLC, HMI, or robot by specifying its vendor, model, and connection details.

Upload or sync your first backup

Either upload a backup file manually or install the Desktop Sync Agent to auto-upload from watched folders.
